VR-Configurator for Architectural and Product Visualization

GAME DEVELOPMENT | CONCEPT | USER INTERFACE | LOOK DEVELOPMENT | MODELING | TEXTURING | SHADING | LIGHTING

In this VR game a house can be virtually visited. The architecture and furniture can be configured by the player. One can interact with the furniture and test different lighting conditions. The house can also be viewed from the outside and by day and night.

The target is to explore an architecturally aesthetic building in three dimensions and to independently configure the furniture interactively and variably. A suitable concept must be found that meets the technical requirements of a real-time application and still maintains a realistic illusion. In addition to the appearance of the VR configurator, it is also very important to allow the player to interact intuitively with the application. A procedure for the adaption of the 3D data and the exchange between 3ds Max and Ureal Engine must be found. For the configurator in Ureal Engine different programming are developed and combined in the field of architecture, product, and light. The result is a VR configurator, which provides a great opportunity to visualize architecture and products. This VR game is my bachelor thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Offenburg and was developed at VISIONSBOX GmbH & Co. KG.
